Family Therapy

Family therapy is a special form of therapy where changes within a family by working together in recognizing behavioral patterns that impact relationship interactions.  Feelings, thoughts, behavior and transitional adjustments of every family member are explored to recognize the impact on the family system.   Instead of meeting with one individual from the family, all or most family members are involved in the therapy.

In blended families, this may include stepparents, step-siblings and half-siblings.   When children in blended families have adjustment problems, it can be helpful for all the parents and stepparents to work together in family therapy.
